My dog hasn't gone "number two" in three days?

I don't know why. He usually goes every day. We haven't been giving him any different food. The only different thing is that my dad is in Canada and has been gone for about 6 days, but this shouldn't affect him. My dad has been on many business trips before, and my dog is acting completely normal (he's not sad) except for the fact that he hasn't done this business for multiple days. He's gone "number one" but not "two". What is going on, and how can we help him?
Answers:
My dog usually will go poo if I make her run around the yard (by playing with her) for at least 15 or 20 minutes. She will also go poo if I walk her for the same amount of time or longer but not always. If nothing works try getting ur dog to drink some prune juice or eat some prunes. Ur dog will go poo for sure . If not take him to the VET asap! Hope he poos :-)
Ask the dog why he doesn't poop.
I wouldnt worry for another 2 days..if its still going on maybe take his temp or stick a safe object up there- for some reason it usually makes babies and cats poop.He may just have a ball of hair that taking its time working its way out.
This isn't good. You need to call your vet and tell them. You don't want him to get impacted or he could have eaten something that is stopping him up! Don't wait any longer!! Call the Vet!!
You should call a vet.if he was nervous your dad was gone he would have colitis and pass blood in his stool, but since he has not gone, maybe something serious.
Have you taken him to the vet?
Ok thats easy your dog is having instestint trauma from your dad being away he will refuse to go aswell as die in the next couple of days unless your dad rushes home from Canuk LAND. P.S. NOT KIDDING! but you could always try exlax in his food just make sure he stays outside.
you should take him to the vet. there might be blockage or a twisted intestine and the buildup of toxins can kill it. PLEASE at least call your vet and ask them about it.
Take him to the vet. This happened to my golden, he got very lethargic as well, and it turned out that he had swallowed a little bouncy rubber ball. He needed surgery to have it removed. Have your dog checked though, cause if it is something serious like that, the outcome will be devastating.
You can safely give him a little Metamucil sprinkled over his food, or a spoon of canned pumpkin with his food, or if he has no skin allergies, a little canned cream corn should do the trick..If he hasn't gone poo by tomorrow, you need to call the vet, or if he quits eating, or begins vomiting..Those actions might mean there is an intestinal blockage that needs quick treatment..

Be sure to keep water down for him, and you might even encourage fluids by offering unsalted broth..
Check with a vet. Dogs sometimes eat things that are difficult for them to digest, and it constipates them. I saw a case in animal planet in which a dog ate an artichoke (i think it was an artichoke) and the dog swallowed it almost whole. It stayed in his stomach for a long time, thus blocking his track.
Youre dog is constipated you can call a vet and see what he thinks it is that you should do maybe there is some kind of human supository that you can use.
Stress - he needs a familiar smell to assure him all is well.Unwashed cloathes from the hamper for him to inspect will reassure him that all is well.
Well, I don't really know how to answer this well. I was going to saw worm it but I'm not sure that would help this situation. What kind of food are you feeding him? The higher the number on the vitamin thing on the food bag, the better. The dog is probably really constapated, so try looking up a pill or something that you can put in his food to make it softer. Like, the human pill, Stool Softener. I know they have to have it in a store somewhere for animals.
I AGREE WITH CHETCO. MY GOLDEN GETS PUMPKIN EVERYDAY IF YOUR DOG HAS BLOAT OR A BLOCKAGE HE NEEDS TO SEE A VET ASAP ANY SIGN OF VOMITING IS BAD!! GIVE YOUR VET A CALL
~~GOOD LUCK~~~~
This is a pretty serious issue. There could be several reasons why your dog has not had a bowel movement (BM) in several days. None of them are good. Call your vet and ask them what you should do.
I do NOT recommend feeding your dog ex-ax or the "Stick or safe object" suggestion.
Give the dog a small amount of fruit. You can also try a small amount of wet dog food. Those 2 will clear him out for sure.
You need to walk him until he can't walk anymore, make sure he gets plenty of water, feed him raw veggies like green beans and carrots, if that doesn't help (I know this sounds/is gross) you need to give him a warm water enema. These things should help before you take him to the vet. Also he might be going number 2 you just didn't see it, it only takes a minute for him to do it, so you may have missed it.
you can give him 1/4 of a exlax tablet the vet told me to do it for our dog..it works by the next day;;;;;;;;
