my dog is biting all of a sudden. What can I do to stop it?

She also is peeing everywhere. Please don't say take her to vet. I know that I am, we have an appt next week. What can I do in the mean time?
Answers:
She sounds sick so that vet appt is the right idea. Your best bet for the peeing may be to confine her to one room with newspapers down or a puppy pee pad. As for the biting, she's probably trying to say that she hurts and until the pain stops, she probably won't stop biting. Try giving her chewy toys for her to gnaw on. Kongs are really good. The chewing action releases endorphins which are natural pain killers.
Sometimes dogs bite when in distress. Since she is peeing everywhere too she seems to be in some distress. Change the appointment to today or tomorrow.
If your dog is biting you should make an appointment with a professional dog trainer.
Could it be she is scared?
Sometimes dogs will bite because they are scared of something.
Not all dogs will accept a new family member or new changes in the house.
My Aunt's pureberd won't go into a room if there is a man in there. He begins to bark and snap.
You could use a mussle in the mean time.
Obedience school.
When he/she starts to bite have a rolled up newspaper near by. When they bite push them away, shout "No!" in their face and slap the newspaper against the palm of your hand so it makes a loud noise in their face. You can do it as a punishment for anything; Leaving feces, urine, biting, chewing on furniture, shoes, etc. When they go to the bathroom outside, give them a treat and praise them saying "good dog" or "good -name-" and make it like your really happy, also let the, play with their favorite toy, or throw it if its a ball or Frisbee, maybe a little game of tug-of-war
it sounds like your dog has a bladder infection..

pain can make dogs nippy. and a bladder infection can cause rampant peeing. If you keep waiting, you'll end up with a dog that's peeing blood all over your house, and will be more prone to bladder stones, an extremely painful and expensive condition. I hope it's nothing serious, but, like others have said, you may want to try to bump up your vets appt. If you can't, ask your vet what the painkiller dosage should be for your dog, and keep it well hydrated.

Best of luck!
