Does anyone know anythin about this? How long will she be in a bandage and how long does it usually take to heal? Please dont tell me to ask the vet cos I will do that tomorrow I just wanna know now cos I am a bit worried!

OK. don't worry, she'll be fine. My b*tch Labrador broke her back leg in 3 places and ended up having bone graphs, pins and a plate before we were through.
First off. when she comes home she'll whine a bit and be very droopy eyed for the evening, try some food but don't force her (she'll probably not eat it), try to encourage some water though even if she just licks the water off your hands.the first night she'll need lots of reassurance and cuddles on the floor..
my guess is (not knowing exactly what op they'll be doing) she'll have to be on strict bed rest for a couple of weeks (we used a dog crate to enforce this) then gradual exercise (lead walking around the garden or the block but not far, only enough for a pee and a sniff) no stairs until i guess week 4. if all being well and the check ups go to plan, she'll be running and jumping around again within 2 months. (8 weeks) she'll have a satellite dish (buster collar) and a bandage until the stitches are removed (usually a week after the op).
but whatever happens - trust what your vet says. and please don't let her jump up at all. even if it means containing her in a crate for a while. She wont understand the reasons for your actions and may get upset if you cage her, but at least this way you are stopping her from trying to get up and follow you around the house. xxx
You should have already asked these questions of your vet.
It depends on what type of injury it is, but is should take 2-4 weeks to heal fully, bandage should off within 4 weeks.
Don't worry your will be fine.
A friends dog was hit by a car in August and had a plate put in his leg and he has had 2 more surgarys and is STILL in bandages. But I think Rovers case is special(his body rejected the plate), most dogs are out of bandages in 3-5 weeks. Good luck!

It is hard to tell you what to expect when you really haven't explained what exactly the surgery is going to entail.
my dog had surgery on his back leg because his knee wasn't deep enough he was under for four hours while they did the surgery and then in a cast for 10 days and then we had to keep him quiet for another 2-3 weeks while his knee was healing all in all is was several months before his knee was well enough to run and jump and play. It was hard though because he thought he was fine from the moment he got home we had to give him doggie downers to keep him from breaking the internal sutures they put around his knee cap.
Did your vet use the phrase "cruxcator ligament" by chance?
Teraing that ligament ihas become quite common over the past 10 years because so many dogs don't get enough exercise and fitness work. They turn into couch potatos, go outside, leap around and blow out the ligament.
If that is what it is, you are looking at a recuperation period of 2-3 months minimum. She will have to be kept closely confined the first few weeks while she heals. Then she will need to start gradually exercising and strenghtening the leg - think of it as doggy physical therapy.
