my dog is a pomeranian and he is pretty old. Why doesn't he play with me?

Answers:
most dogs get out of the playful stage as they get older.just like humans, they dont feel as well when they are old. they can have back problems, arthritis, etc. just like people do. if it is suddenly acting differently than usual it may have a health problem and need to see the vet. if its behavior hasnt changed i wouldnt worry. just talk to it and give it lots of love and attention for the remainder of its life so it will be happy and comfortable.
The same reason Ur grandpa wont skip rope with U.
my guess is because he is "pretty old"
"Because he is pretty old"
because hes old.
When dogs get old, they tend to stop playing because they get tired pretty easily. That may also depend on their personalities too. Some may stop playing and others stays playful.
he is mostly just aging. its natural. now htat hes getting old he might not want to play as much
Well hes old. Thats like asking granny to run a marathon with you.
The older they get, the less they want to play.
because he is old. maybe is isnt feeling well. take him to the vet if this is something new. good luck
b e c a u s e he is old.lol
He's old that's why. I doubt if he's thinking about playing with you when he has creaky bones. Give the dog a break. He needs to be cuddled instead.
Autheritis,i cant spell well but his bones probably ache.Poms unfortunatley have a life span thats only like 10 to 13yrs.
Because he is old and doesn't have the energy he had as a puppy..
