Answers:
Your dog could possibly have conjunctivitis or "pink eye", you need to take your pet to the vet in order to get the right antibiotic ointment for the pets eye.Plus wash your hands alot because if it "pink eye" you can get it so. Using salt compresses could inflame the eye more and if you use over the counter items that could possible have steroids in them could cause the conjunctiva of your pets eye to essentially melt away. If you call a vet the most they could do is tell you to come in. If you do nothing the infection can become worse and start to screw up your pets vision.
Hope that helps!
Try calling the vet. They should know what it is and will tell you what to do.
never wait to call the vet. their the only ones that can really help. would u wait to take ur kid to the docter? call the vet and make an app. before the thing loses its eye
get a container and put warm water and about 1 tea spoon of salt in it and when the salt dissolves wet a tissue and rub the dogs eyes it wont hurt do it 3 times a day but if its not right in 2 days the vet can give you some tablets also if you have long seedy grass it could be getting seed in its eyes
eye infections and ear infections are very common in dogs. bring him 2 the vet 1st thing. they'll give u some eye drops. it'll clear up in a couple of days. why wait 2 go 2 the vet?
Unless you want a Blind Dog . You need to get him seen like yesterday.Eye infections are nothing to mess around with . Get him to a vet
Do not put anything in your dog's eyes until a vet looks at it!! You want to make sure there are no scratches on the surface of the eye. Although it could be an eye infection you need to rule out ulcerations on the surface of the eye, and that there are no foreign objects in the eye area.
Go into the vet first thing in the AM. I am dog nut and thought I was Oh So Smart and gave him benedryl, wiped his face with anti itch spray and waited the 2 days. By the time I freaked out enough to just barg in the vets he was a puffy , oozy mess. He had to get a shot and be on meds for two weeks and we still don't know what caused it! All I know is he is still all squinty and that was 2 months ago. Trust your insticts.
