My dog in heat hasn't pooped in 2 days.. is this normal?

My 12lb dog has been in heat for the past week. This past Sunday she got out of the yard 4 times. So, now that I've been outside with her since, I've noticed she hasn't pooped since Sunday morning (it's now tuesday night). I was told that being in heat is painful for dogs, can this pain be why she hasn't gone?
Answers:
Dogs in heat will sometimes cut back on their food intake. All they care about is finding a boyfriend! That could be why she doesn't have anything moving through her system.

I would strongly consider getting your dog spayed. It's pretty dangerous for her to play the escape artist like she has been. She may also already be expecting, so get her spayed VERY soon if you can.
she is probly sick u should see a vet.
she could be dehydrated or have some kind of bowel obstruction. Take her to the vet.
You should get her spayed. Even if she's in heat, this won't be a problem.

If you're in LA or near LA, here's a link to $10 spay/neuter services.

It's unbelievably cheap, but it is to encourage ppl to spay/neuter their pets. Normal cost? About 60-100 dollars per pet.

There are many unwanted dogs and cats, even puppies and kittens which are euthanized every day because owners do not spay/neuter their pets. Don't be one of those owners who lets their pets breed, and can't find homes for them.

Food for thought.
If you are comfortable with doing it, you can (wearing a glove) put your finger up her bottom slightly and see if that will release it. If not then to the vet you must go.
being in heat should not cause this problem! i agree with every one else, take her to the vet.! i could be something serous!!
no not at all you should take her to a vet hopefully she'll be ok
