My Dog ate something that is making it act hyper?

My dog is going nuts, she's a 3 year old toy fox terrier, and we think that she might have gotten into a friends diet pills. She had these diet pills that made her all pumped up. So our dog is running around in circles acting like she's guarding and stuff, its kind of weird, wouldn't even eat treats. Listens to commands but is just a complete spaz. She's normally very lazy and relaxed. What could it be, and could it do long term damager?
Answers:
if it is the diet pills you have to understand that dogs do not process caffine like humans. forget the long-term damage, you could be looking at immediate negative effects. i would call an emergency animal clinic, or take her to a vet asap.
I would take her to the vet ASAP. Not only are those diet pills for humans, so u have no idea what they could do to a pet, but your dog is A LOT smaller than a human, it's like over dosing.

Good luck!!
Depends on how long she has been acting this way! if it just started,, get her to a vet. she could die form a speed over dose. this could be very serious, I would be scared for her if I were you..Long term effects can be the same for dogs as humans, but her body wieght is so much less than an adult. I would seek medical for her asap.
If you are sure your dog ate diet pills you should try to make it throw them up. Give it peroxide to throw up. Maybe you should call an emergency vet.
you need to get her to a animal hospital that is open 24 hrs a day or call your regular vet and see if he/she will see her at this time of the night but if you dont get her to the vet ASAP then you are putting her life at risk she could have a heart attact from the diet pills or go into cardiac arrest Please get her to the vet,,,
sounds like you know what happened, put your dog somewhere that she won't get hurt. it takes awhile to come down and you know what i mean. yes it can cause long term damage! if you love her take her to the vet.
