my dog got metacam and noroclav 250mg off the vet what are they for .she had lost pups she had a section?

Answers:
the metacam is an anti-inflammatory to reduce the swelling..and the noraclav is an anti-biotic..to prevent infection. I know this cause a friend of mine just had the same thing with her dog. Next time make sure the vet tells you about the medicine you are getting for your dog..especially a mum with pups.never accept otherwise..it was a bad vet not to tell you what they were.
They are for reducing pain and inflammation.
metacam is for pain
noroclav is for infections
I use metacam for my dog has arthritis in one hip and I put it in his food every morning, he keeps him free of pain. wish I could use it on my pains.
metacam is an anti-inflammatory/pain killer - it was prob given for both these reasons. noroclav is an amoxycillin antibiotic to make sure there is no infection. i'm sure your vet would be more than happy to discuss any treatment that has been prescribed and why.
metacam is the anti-inflammatory for pain relief and noroclav is the antibiotic.
metacam is a pain killer and noroclav is the antibiotic. Hopefully she is also now spayed since she will likely have the same problems if she is put in whelp again.

  1. Metacam is a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug for use in dogs. It is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation as a result of acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders such as disco spondylosis, arthropathy and soft tissue injuries. Thanks a lot...
